Romanian Ruling Coalition Signs Collaboration Protocol

The leaders of the Romanian ruling coalition parties signed a collaboration protocol Wednesday.

The protocol was signed by Prime Minister Emil Boc, leader of the Democratic Liberal Party, Democratic Union of Hungarians in Romania leader Kelemen Hunor, National Union for the Progress of Romania executive president Gabriel Oprea and Varujan Pambuccian, leader of national minorities’ group in the Chamber of Deputies.

The protocol states that ruling coalition parties will continue to collaborate until the end of the current parliamentary term.

The protocol lists the draft laws the Government will put forward, people close to the matter said Tuesday.

According to the sources, the laws included in the protocol concern social and economic measures, such as creating new jobs, stimulating investments in the agriculture and the energy sectors. The protocol also mentions the law on national minorities and the law taxing high wealth.
