Teodor Atanasiu Quits Romania Privatization Auth Headship, Pursues Deputy Career
Atanasiu said Monday the two positions are incompatible and decided to pursue his lawmaking career, adding he would entrust his tasks at AVAS to one of the institution’s vice-presidents until the new government is set up.
Atanasiu ran for a deputy seat in the electoral constituency 3 in the parliamentray elections on November 30 and obtained 35% of the votes, after democrat liberal Stefan Bardan who obtained 39.55% of the votes.
