Before exiting the cathedral, one of the priests told the participants in the procession that on the route towards the Government they will chant religious hymns and pray for the salvation of the cult monuments, which are now in danger. He added that, at the Government, while a delegation submits a petition, the participants will pray.

"We are doing this to express our protest for the manner in which the Catholic Church is treated by the state’s authorities. We demand justice for the «Sfantul Iosif» Cathedral, the Armeneasca Church and all historic monuments damaged in Bucharest and in the country, which are in grave danger," said Archbishop Ioan Robu.

The participants in the procession are carrying church symbols and messages against the construction built in the near vicinity of the cathedral.
