Voronin launched the accusations during the traditional yearend press conference.

"The Moldovan-Romanian file is currently being examined by the European Union. We have gone past the issue of the relationship between Moldova and Romania, and reached the issue of Romania’s relationship with the European Union," Voronin said.

“The problem we’ve been discussing over the year with Romania has to do with the drafting and signing of two treaties – the Base Treaty regarding Moldovan-Romanian relations and the Border Agreement,” Voronin said, adding that failure to sign these treaties proves Romania still refuses to acknowledge the Republic of Moldova as a sovereign country.
