Hungary Shoots Documentary On The Killing Of Romanian Handball Player Marian Cozma
The murder scene of was shot in a hotel in Tapolca, Hungary, last week in the presence of the stabbed handballer’s father.
Well-known Hungarian actors play the roles of those involved in the 85-90 minute two-part documentary, which will be screened in Budapest at the end of April.
Meanwhile police are charging two people with aiding and abetting the alleged perpetrator of the murder. The daily Népszabadság said that one of the two people taken into custody is the girlfriend of prime suspect Sándor R.
This is not Hungary’s first initiative to honor the memory of the Romanian player, stabbed to death on February 8. The fan club of handball team MKB Veszprem, where Cozma played, started a fund raising campaign to erect a monument in his memory and managed to collect over EUR10,000 just days into the campaign.
