Tariceanu added he also plans to have talks with district mayors.

"Traffic in Bucharest is the city’s biggest problem and launching major programs in the transport sector is essential,” Tariceanu said.

"The capital needs all the possible attention, as it holds 20% of Romania’s gross domestic product and contains over 10% of the country’s population. Bucharest needs a major urban plan,” the prime minister added.
