UK Embassy To Bucharest Announces New Visa Procedures For Foreigners In Romania, Bulgaria

The Embassy said in a press release Monday the British Government reconsidered the manner in which visa applications are processed, because of rising demand. The new measures stipulate that visa requests submitted by the citizens of non-EU member states to the UK embassies in Romania and Bulgaria will be forwarded to the embassy in Warsaw starting February 15.

Visa applicants will have to fill in an on-line form and submit the required documents after they registered with the Visa Department of the British Embassy to Bucharest.

Visa applications will be forwarded to the Visa Department of the British Embassy to Warsaw for security checks. Decisions will be sent to Bucharest within 15 working days.
