The operator’s revenues decreased below EUR1 billion for the first time in three years.
In 2009, its revenues amounted to EUR1.05 billion, compared to EUR1.31 billion in 2008. In 2007, the company’s revenues were up over 24% compared to the previous year and exceeded EUR1 billion for the first time.
The operator’s number of clients decreased by 4.8% last year, to 10.464 million, from 10.995 million at the end of 2009, France Telecom said in report.
Orange Romania general manager Thierry Millet said the PrePay segment witnessed the biggest decrease in clients, while the number of subscribers increased. The contract cancellation rate was lower than before the economic crisis, said Millet.
The average annual revenue per user dropped to EUR83 from EUR92.
