Bocevski thus denied rumors according to which the delegation had left the summit.

On the other hand, the spokesperson of the Greek Foreign Affairs Ministry declined to make any comments.

Earlier Thursday, Bocevski said the delegation is expecting an official NATO decision regarding its admission to the Alliance and would afterward decide whether to stay at the summit.

NATO spokesman James Appathurai said Wednesday night there is consensus among NATO members to invite Albania and Croatia into the Alliance, but an invitation to Macedonia has been postponed over the country’s name.

Greece is pledging to veto Macedonia’s bid, as the country has a northern region also called Macedonia.
