In this context, the Public Ministry waits for the criminal investigation request and literature from the Ministry of Justice.

 

After receiving the documents through legislated protocol, the Ministry of Public will send to the National Anticorruption Department and the Department Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism, notices for the commencement of criminal investigations against the former and current dignitaries.

 

Basescu told interim justice minister Teodor Melescanu to start criminal investigations against Adrian Nastase, former prime minister between 2000 and 2004, Miron Mitrea, former transport minister between 2000-2004, former justice minister Tudor Chiuariu, acting labor minister Paul Pacuraru, acting IT&C minister Zsolt Nagy, politician Victor Babiuc, former economy minister Codrut Seres and former agriculture minister Traian Decebal Remes.
