The circuit will include a 3.8-kilometer race track, shopping centers, showrooms, restaurants and a four-star hotel.

"There are Grand Prix One circuits in Vienna, Rome, Milan, Barcelona and London. We’ve considered developing such a project in Romania, as the country doesn’t have a track for car racing," South Pacific Group CEO Andrew Prelea told MEDIAFAX.

He added the cost for a Grand Prix One license exceeded EUR25 million, and each year, part of the collections go to Italy’s Mainstreet, which owns the concept.

The project’s total value will exceed EUR300 million, and the investment will come entirely from South Pacific Group’s bank loans and own funds.
