The state secretary said the girl may terminate the pregnancy in compliance with the law, as she is a child, victim of sexual abuse, and carrying the pregnancy to term would involve major risks for her mental health.
A commission of doctors, psychologists and legal advisers from the Ministry of Health, Justice and Labor and representatives of the Authority Protecting Children’s Rights, decided that at the request of the parents and with their consent, the girl may terminate the pregnancy.
