Bucharest’s Old Apartment Prices Down An Average 15% M-M In March- Colliers

Prices of old apartments in Romania’s capital city Bucharest lowered an average 15% on the month in March, while prices of new apartments remained unchanged, according to a survey conducted by real estate consultancy firm Colliers International.

Thus, new apartments, monitored under the BREI-N (Bucharest Real Estate Index) price index did not see a decrease in prices per square meter, while old apartment prices, monitored under the BREI-V index, decreased an average 15% on the month in March.

Apartment prices in Bucharest’s five districts saw a 5 up to 20% decrease during the period under survey. Old apartments in district 1 saw the most significant decrease of 20%, while old apartments in district 2 saw the lowest decrease of 5% in Match.

Moreover, old apartment prices in district 3 saw a 19% decrease, prices in district 4 saw a 13% decrease, those in district 5 lowered 12%, while those in district 6 were down 17%.
