The minister said public-private employment is inefficient as regards the healthcare system and detrimental to the patient, who is forced to pay contributions to the public healthcare system as well as a fee to the private clinic.

In late-July, Cseke said there should be a clear outline of the activities of doctors working in both public and private sectors, so that patients would not be required to pay twice for healthcare services. The minister referred to cases in which patients go to public hospitals for medical tests and are later called in for further treatment in private clinics by the same doctors.
