Most votes, namely 87.3% said “YES,” while 11.3% said "NO" and 1.4% of votes being null.
According to BEM spokesman Cristin Popa, data centralized from all voting sections in the capital and the voting sections abroad indicates that 365,538 people attended the referendum (20.7%), of the 1,767,494 voters registered on the lists for the referendum.
A number of 319,178 people (87.3%) voted “YES,” while 41,376 (11.3%) voted "NO," and 4,983 (1.4%) were voided.
The final results will be validated Wednesday by the Central electoral Office, which will send the results to the Constitutional Court.
