“Bucharest does not recognize the existence of Moldovans in Romania. This means the Romanian authorities do not recognize the Moldovan language or the Moldovan people. And now, as we get close to solve the situation in Transdniester, Basescu (Romanian President Traian Basescu e.n.) launches declarations toward Ukraine that imply territorial demands,” Voronin said.

“This was done on purpose. In exchange, the authorities in Bucharest convinced Snegur to start the war with Transdniester. I said this so that everyone knows what happened,” the Moldovan president mentioned.
