Romanian Law Placing Trade Registry Under Chambers Of Commerce Authority Ruled Unconstitutional
A Constitutional Court press release said the Law amending Law no. 335/2007 on the Romanian Chambers of Commerce and Law no. 26/1990 on the trade registry was ruled unconstitutional.
The decision will be published in the Official Journal and communicated to the president of Romania, the speakers of the two Chambers of Parliament and the prime minister.
Romanian deputies last month adopted a law placing the Justice Ministry’s Trade Registry Offices under the authority of the Chambers of Commerce, a move acting Justice Minister Catalin Predoiu described as one of the worst mistakes made in recent years in the field of justice.
