The measure was approved through order of the National Agency for Fiscal Administration (ANAF), and it will be implemented starting with October 1.
Initially, the head of ANAF, Daniel Chitoiu, estimated, in February, that the online tax payment system would be introduced on July 1.
In order to prepare the online system, ANAF will organize an auction for online tax collection services.
The contract will be concluded with one operator, over a period of three years, and it has an estimated value ranging between RON8.03 million and RON16.06 million, VAT included.
Companies interested can submit their bids until July 3, according to an ANAF announcement.
In order to participate in the auction, bidders need to have at least three years experience, and they must have concluded at least three similar contracts in this there-year period.
At the same time, investors need to prove they have a bank card transaction turnover of at least RON2.33 million.
The criterion for selection is the economic advantage, where the fee for transaction applied to sums paid by the taxpayers counts for 70%, costs for installation, configuration 5%, monthly taxes 5%, the number of types of cards issued under various brands that can be processed 10% and 5% each for telephone line technical support and online help.
