About one hundred passengers of a flight to London with low-cost airliner Wizz Air, that was supposed to take off Thursday morning, were still at the airport Friday at noon. Airport officials did not give any details or reasons for the situation.
The airport spokesperson, Valentin Iordache, said Wizz Air usually operates off Bucharest’s Baneasa airport.
The spokesperson of the Baneasa airport, Stefan Mladin, said he does not know why the Wizz Air plane landed on ‘Henri Coanda’ Thursday.
In the case of the other passengers, who were supposed to leave for Vienna, Iordache said check-in has been made and he cannot say why the plane has not taken off.
