Constantina Petrea, 49, was painting the lions’ cages when she was clawed by the eight and six-year old wildcats. The woman was saved by her colleagues who managed to fight the felines off with bats and crowbars.

Hospital spokesperson Horia Dragoi said the woman arrived with nasty injuries on her face and left shoulder.

"Her wounds looked like scalpel cuts. She underwent surgery and her general condition is good," Dragoi said Wednesday.
