The vice-president of the association, Virgil Tanase, Monday told a press conference that the current authorization procedures applied by the aeronautic authority "include conditions that affect the development of this sector."
The members of the association are mainly displeased with the regulations that stipulate painting the wind power plants red and white.
Under the valid regulations, the construction authorization of a wind power plant becomes null unless the provisions on the plant’s signaling system are complied with.
"No wind power plant in Romania benefits from an appropriate signaling system in compliance with the authorization procedures of the aeronautic authority," which means that all authorizations issued for the construction of wind power plants are null, Tanase explained.
The association stressed that painting the plants red and while creates visual discomfort; therefore, they require that the regulations imposed by the aeronautic authority be amended.
