Over 30 Flights Canceled In Romania Due To Volcanic Ash Cloud
Most countries in northern Europe have closed their air space.
Britain closed its air space Thursday until at least Friday, and flight bans, airport closings and cancellations occurred in Ireland, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Belgium, France, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Finland, Poland and Germany.
The cloud, whose particles could cause aircraft engines to fail and could dim visibility for pilots, sparked a ripple effect across Europe and ruined plans for business and leisure travelers around the world.
