Romania’s July Net Salary Up 0.8% M-M To RON1,390

The gross average salary was at RON1,901, up 0.7% compared with June.

The salary slight increase was due to holiday or loyalty bonuses granted to employees, and to a higher reported output.

Employees in airline transportation sector saw the biggest average net salaries of RON3,400, while the wood manufacturing industry employees were at the opposite pole with RON807.

July net average salary in agriculture was up 4.4% on the month to RON1,016, while the employees in the energy sector saw a 5.9% salary increase on the month in July, to RON2,584.

Net salaries in industry averaged RON1,346 in July, up 4.1% from June.

The average net salary in July was up 6.3% compared with the same month of 2008.
