Libra Bank, Pension House Make Deal For Pension Payment System

Romanian lender Libra Bank and the National Pension and Social Insurance House (CNPAS) signed an agreement on paying pensions via current accounts or bank cards, which will be opened for pensioners willing to use this service.

Pensioners willing to cash their pensions from Libra Bank must request the opening of a current account or the issue of a Libra Salary VISA debit card to which the social insurance house will transfer their pensions, a press release of the bank read.

Clients will have to pay a fee of 3 lei (EUR1=RON3.6031) when cashing their pensions, but no fees are charged for the issue and administration of the Libra Salary card, for cash withdrawals or payments to tradespeople via Libra Bank ATMs.

Libra Bank’s total assets rose to RON743.23 million at the end of the first half, while its profit reached RON48,917.
