Dacia’s market share more than doubled, reaching 2.17% in 2010, ranking it 16th among the best sold brands. Seat led the ranking, with 89,423 registered units.
On the sedan segment, Dacia registrations increased by 78.4% last year to 15,565 cars, from 8,725 in 2009, while its market share climbed to 1.77% from 1%. The Spanish sedan market stagnated at 877,566 units.
Dacia’s SUV, the Duster, ranked fourth on the market in 2010 with 5,827 registrations and a 5.4% market share. The Spanish SUV market grew by 33.3%, to 107,642 units.
