Romanian Tourism Min Willing To Fund President’s Daughter EP Campaign

Udrea said she will fully support Elena Basescu’s independent candidacy for a seat in the European Parliament, even financially if she needs and wants that.

Earlier this month, Udrea said she made available to Elena Basescu the campaign headquarters she used in the November 2008 election.

Elena Basescu recently said during a press conference that she will quit the Democratic Liberal Party and run independently for a seat in the European Parliament. She plans to return to the party after the election, which is to be held on June 7.
