Authorities found the stolen ammunition Monday in an abandoned warehouse in Chitila, just outside capital Bucharest. The sources said they found three of the containers stolen sealed and one opened and Police spokesman Marius Militaru said Monday evening all the ammunition had been recovered.
Investigators resumed searches Tuesday morning, as only 79 warheads had been recovered Monday evening and it got too dark before the last one could be found.
Forensics collected DNA evidence off the found ammunition.
Military prosecutors on Monday questioned over 50 people involved in the transport and have started criminal investigations against several of them. Hearings are set to continue Tuesday.
Four containers holding a total 80 warheads made by Romanian factory Tohan Zarnesti were stolen from a train that was delivering them to Bulgaria. The ammunition was reported missing in the Giurgiu station, close to the border.
