Romania, Ukraine To Resume Monitoring Of Respective National Minorities
"We currently have a monitoring system for the state of national minorities in each of our countries. This monitoring has been interrupted. Our goal is to resume this monitoring and we’ve agreed to resume it,” Ogryzko said.
He also said there are 90 schools in Ukraine that teach students in Romanian, whereas Romania has only one schools teaching in Ukrainian.
"We are open and transparent. We’ll do everything possible to observe the rights of national minorities in Ukraine I would also like to mention that there are 90 schools in Ukraine, within the state education system, that teach classes in Romanian, while Romania has only one such school,” he concluded.
