Basescu said all summit participants backed the idea to invite Albania, Croatia and Macedonia up until the last minute, but Greece vetoed Macedonia’s invitation.
He added that Macedonia doesn’t need another summit to receive an invitation, as NATO foreign ministers would welcome the country when it solves its dispute with Greece.
Basescu said the fact that a small state such as Greece could veto Macedonia out of NATO’s plans for the day proves that important NATO decisions are not made by “two or three people”.
