Cojocari said Friday he was told the bus had been seized by two of his colleagues, who were riding the bus. He added the students, who were going home for the Easter holidays, were arrested.
Catalina Tomsa, one of the students arrested, told news website unimedia.md, that although they had no plans to join protests in Chisinau but were going home for Easter, the students were arrested and taken to the police section in Calarasi, where they were told they would be released when their parents come to pick them up.
Cojocari said the students were supposed to call him when they reached Chisinau, but that didn’t happen and their phones are disconnected.
