Heatwave To Affect 11 Romanian Counties, Bucharest

Romanian authorities issued a yellow code warning for heat for the weekend, valid for the capital city and for 11 counties, where they expect temperatures of 37 degrees Celsius.

The warning was issued for the capital city Bucharest and for the counties Braila, Calarasi, Caras Severin, Dolj, Giurgiu, Ialomita, Ilfov, Mehedinti, Olt, Teleorman, Timis, where the temperature-humidity comfort level will exceed 80 units Saturday afternoon.

Saturday night, the quantity of rain will exceed 25 liters on square meter, and 35 liters in some areas of northern Romania and the Eastern Carpathians.

Sunday, in Bucharest and the counties of Braila, Calarasi, Giurgiu, Ialomita, Ilfov and Teleorman temperatures will reach 37 degrees Celsius.
