The guaranteed minimum pension will be granted to the pensioners in the public system, who live in Romania, regardless of the time when they submitted the pension file, if the level of the pension they are due or they get paid is below the level of the social pension.

The social pension will be funded by the Labor Ministry’s budget.

The guaranteed minimum pension will be granted only if a person’s cashed revenues are below its level.

The rights granted within the guaranteed minimum pension will be set and paid by the National Pensions House.

The provisions of the ordinance will be added to those of Law no. 19/2000 on the public system of pensions and of other social rights.

The social insurance units which do not belong to the public system will offer the information the National Pensions House may need in order to enforce the ordinance.
