The draft order amends Order no. 962/2009 of the Minister of Health, which approved the norms concerning the organization and running of pharmacies and drug stores.

One of the new provisions allows closed-circuit pharmacies (meaning pharmacies which perform their activity within hospitals or in other such units) to grant medicine through national healthcare programs.

The amendment allows the pharmacies to set up their own laboratory and provides rules concerning their storage space.
