Nastase Comeback Seals Deal Btw Liberals-Social Democrats-Official

Emil Boc, the head of the Democratic Liberal Party, or PDL, said on Saturday, during the congress of the young organization of the party, that Adrian Nastase’s comeback within the Social Democratic Party structures seals the symbolic agreement between social democrats and liberals.

Boc said Romania “is currently undergoing a restoration process,” fact proven by the results of the national council of the Social Democratic Party. “This comes to prove that the powers that have subdued the country, that allowed corruption to flourish and opposed the country’s modernization are coming back and wish to get their hands on power once again,” the official said.

 The official told young democrat liberals that they need to fight against the force created by the agreement between liberals and social democrats.

On Friday, former Romanian prime minister Adrian Nastase was elected president of the National Council of the Social Democratic Party (PSD), with 418 votes, against Dan Mircea Popescu, for whom 202 delegates voted, while 28 votes were annulled.
