A Romanian Defense Ministry C-130 HERCULES aircraft with 60 Romanians, five Americans, seven Cypriots and one English citizen on board landed on the Otopeni International Airport, near capital Bucharest, Monday night.

A military aircraft returning from an evacuation mission landed in Budapest and the 26 Romanians on board were picked up by a Border Police motorbus, which reached Bucharest Monday night.

A Romanian C-27 SPARTAN aircraft is still in Malta waiting to leave on a new evacuation mission.

According to the Foreign Affairs Ministry, 646 Romanian citizens have received consular assistance to leave the North African country.

The ongoing unrest in Libya, against the government and its leader Muammar Gaddafi, has left hundreds dead. Thousands of foreign nationals have been evacuated by their governments, by sea and by air.
