Nearly 75,000 Romanians To Spend Easter In The Country – Tour Operators Assoc

„ANAT estimates a nearly 5% increase in tour package sales for internal destinations for the Easter holiday this year, compared with the same period a year ago, and a 50% decrease in sales for foreign destinations,” Badulescu stressed.

Badulescu said nearly 70,000 Romanians spent the Easter holiday in the country last year and around 25,000 travelled abroad.

According to Badulescu, mountain resorts and areas boasting rural tourism are among the most popular internal destinations, while Bulgaria and Greece and large European cities like Paris, Barcelona or Athens are among Romanians’ favorite foreign destinations.
