Romania ranks second in Europe by increase in the number of new passenger car registrations in the first two months of the year, posting a 35.6% increase on the year, to 50,918 units.

New Car Registrations In Romania Up 35.6% On Yr In Jan, Feb

The EU new car registration champion is Lithuania with a 39.1% rise, according to data released Friday by the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association, or ACEA.
 
In February, Romania saw the highest increase in the EU in terms of new car registrations, of 37.1%, to 21,423 cars.
 
The number of new cars registered in Europe made by Romania’s Dacia increased 64.3% in the first two months, to 31,327 cars, and the company’s market share rose to 1.3%, from 0.8% in the same period in 2007.
 
The total number of cars registered in Europe increased in the first two months by 3.8%, to 2,489,812 units.
