According to a Romanian Police statement, evidence related to the procedures were found at the suspect’s home and a beauty parlor she owned.
The woman is suspected of performing several facial esthetic procedures between 2017 and 2019, consisting of injecting hyaluronic acid in the lips and around the eyes of customers, without a medical license.
A criminal inquiry was launched against the suspect for practicing medicine without a license.
Two other cases of fake medical practitioners were discovered in Romania in February, with an Italian citizen who posed as a plastic surgeon and a gynecologist assistant at the Ilfov Emergency County Hospital both revealed to have practiced without a medical degree.
