New Inter-Committee Association To Develop Bucharest Infrastructure Projects
Bucharest city councilors approved, Friday, the creation of the Bucharest-Ilfov Inter-Committee Association for Development (ADIBI), with the purpose of jointly achieving projects targeting the development of the region, financed through structural and cohesion funding from the European Union.

The main purpose of the agency aims to increase the absorption of structural and cohesion funding, in the Bucharest-Ilfov region, as well as the absorption of other funds meant for durable regional development.
The association aims to prepare and promote, on all levels, projects for the regional development of joint interest for the two administrative-territorial parties associated, in the area of social services, transport, environment, business, tourism, and to obtain internal and external financing needed for the unfolding of these joint projects.
City authorities decided that this association would have attributes in the compilation of studies, the creation and implementation of projects in priority and joint interest areas, on a region level, for the improvement of the regional infrastructure for transport, environment, public utilities, social services, as well as the integrated system for emergency situations, the prevention of disasters, business support, tourism development, employment and human resources and social services development.
The founding members of ADIBI are the Ilfov county, represented through the president of the Ilfov County Council, and the city of Bucharest, represented through the general mayor of Bucharest, each contributing to the initial patrimony of the association with 5,000 lei (EUR1 = RON3.7269).
Any administrative-territorial unit will be able to join this Association, after a written request and with the unanimous vote of the Association’ General Gathering.
