Romanian Social Democrats To Attend Govt Meeting Wednesday
Romania’s democrat liberal Prime Minister Emil Boc on Tuesday sent President Basescu a proposition to dismiss Nica from the Cabinet.
Basescu has not yet sealed the dismissal but called on the two ruling coalition parties to talk and suggested they appoint an independent interior minister or someone from the opposition.
Boc called a coalition meeting for Wednesday morning to discuss the issue, but social democrats refused to show up. People close to the Democratic Liberal Party told MEDIAFAX Boc plans to give social democrats an ultimatum in today’s Cabinet meeting, to appoint another interior minister.
