Some of the one hundred employees who filed for voluntary layoffs have the legal retirement age.

"These are voluntary layoffs, which will be made in stages as of the second quarter. More precisely, between April 1 and July 1. Some of them are of retirement age," Ungureanu said.

Doljchim may temporarily cease production in May for overhauls, he also said.
