No-Confidence Motion Against Government Fails To Obtain Necessary Votes

The motion gained less votes than the number of signatures it had when it was filed last Friday. Opposition parties announced then that they had gathered 163 signatures in support of the initiative.

The motion was read again and debated in Thursday’s plenary meeting, with the vote being secret.

This was the second time a no-confidence motion against the Dancila Government did not receive the necessary support, after a similar attempt failed in June.
