The number of Romanians who have major acquisition and spending plans for 2011 has increased compared to last year, and the main spending plan concerns vacation, according to a survey published in the 2011 Financial Annual Report launched by MEDIAFAX Tuesday.

The survey was conducted by research company 360insights and shows the way in which the economic crisis impacted Romanians.
According to the survey, although the effects of the economic crisis are still present and call for caution, the share of Romanians who have major purchase plans increased by up to 14% compared to last year.
The main spending plans concern vacation. More than seven in ten Romanians living in urban areas say they want to take a holiday this year. Most of them plan to spend their holiday in Romania - 49% (from 36% in 2010) and 27% want to spend their vacation abroad (compared to 24% in 2010), reads the survey.
About 29% of Romanians in urban areas said they want to buy furniture or household appliances, 19% want to buy a new car and 18% a home.
The survey was conducted by 360insights in April 2011 and polled 800 respondents aged between 16 and 64.
The results of the research conducted for MEDIAFAX were included in the 2011 Financial Annual Report, which also offers an insight into the development of financial markets over the past year and an index of the main companies operating on these markets.
The annual report will be offered free of charge to companies and institutions on the financial market, insurers, consultancy and leasing companies, investment and pension funds.
