Over 50,000 Taxpayers In Romania Paid Income Tax Online Since Sept

Lazar said the number of income tax statements filled in and submitted online increased from 9,000 in September to 19,000 in October, 36,000 in November and 50,614 in December.

„Since September 2010, when the Government allowed taxpayers to pay their income tax online, there has been a constant increase in the number of taxpayers that chose this medium. I believe this was a very good decision and, with the introduction of a single tax form as of January 1, more and more taxpayers will pay their dues to the state online,” said Lazar.

The Government said recently companies will be able to fill in a single tax form for social security contributions and income tax as of next year and the fiscal statement may be submitted online with fiscal authorities.
