According to Bucharest Police’s spokesman Christian Ciocan, a total of 975 bank offices and 39 bank headquarters have been verified starting with February 12.
Following the controls, police issued 22 fines over defective security services, including changes operated at alarm systems against break-ins.
Also, police fined 31 security companies and guardians over improper equipment, Ciocan said.
He said police controls will continue at exchange houses and pawnshops, as well as at companies that provide transportation services for valuable goods.
