According to the Health Ministry, Dambovita county registered 11 cases, Arges and Suceava (8 cases each), Arad (7 cases), Botosani, Cluj and Vrancea (6 cases each), Bacau, Galati, Prahova and Ilfov (5 cases each), Harghita (4 cases), Alba, Calarasi, Olt amd Timis (3 cases each), Bihor and Covasna (2 cases each), Braila, Buzau, Dolj, Giurgiu, Ialomita, Neamt, Sibiu, Tulcea and Valcea (1 case each).
Several schools countrywide will continue to suspend activities for seven days due to the spreading of the AH1N1 infection.
Eight people infected with the new flu virus are in bad health condition and need special medical care, Health Ministry secretary of state Adrian Streinu-Cercel said Friday.
Romania started a vaccination campaign against the AH1N1 virus Friday and Streinu-Cercel was the first to get the vaccine. The vaccine is to reach the entire country by Sunday.
