According to City Hall, come Monday, July 13, the notification issued by the city will follow the legal procedure.

"We have notified the company Dalli Exim SA that they need to give city hall the 3,000 parking spots managed so far, because contract no. 20 signed in 1995 is null and void. We have observed the law and sent the notifications. Starting next week, city hall, through its newly created structure, will gradually take over these parking lots, because we want to do as we promised: we want to regain the public domain, to be used by the citizens," said Bucharest general mayor Sorin Oprescu, quoted in a press release issued Sunday by city hall.

Late 1995, the company Dalli won the auction organized by city hall to manage 52 parking lots in the central area of the city. Dalli Exim won the auction offering the city 55.5% of revenues.
