The chairman of court clerk union Dicasterial, Catalin Traistaru, told MEDIAFAX that the delegation was allowed access into the Victoria Palace, but was told after 40 minutes of waiting that there was no cabinet official who had the competency to discuss the subject.
“We left them a statement, after we waited there for 40 minutes without anyone willing to talk to us. We were treated with indifference, even if the government claims that it talks with its social dialogue partners, unions and professionals associations,” the union leader told MEDIAFAX.
The unions are set to continue protests all around the country in April and will begin a strike if the executive continues to ignore then, he added.
More 1,500 members of court clerks union from all around the country protested in Bucharest’s Victory Square on Friday, demanding better work conditions and unitary pay.
