Ludovic Orban announces resumption of influenza vaccine production at „Cantacuzino”

„There are several projects: the resumption of influenza vaccine production. There is only one piece of equipment missing. After its acquisition, the production line will be prepared”, said, on Thursday, the head of the Executive.

The head of Government also said that, most likely, production will start in 2021.

Also, as the quoted source shows, a new product is being prepared, which will be launched on the market.

„It’s an immuno-modulator that regulates the level of antibodies in the body”, Orban said.

According to the quoted source, at „Cantacuzino”, there is a project that will be financed from EU funds, „which will monitor the production capacity of the tetravalent vaccine”.

As for the laboratory at the Cantacuzino Institute, it has a capacity of 500 tests per day, for COVID-19, which can be increased.

„I appreciate the feverish activity that is taking place here. I especially appreciate the activity of the new manager and I am confident that the team here has the ability to play the mission that the Cancauzino Institute must have in Romania”, said Orban.
