This sum is stipulated in the financing memorandum signed Wednesday in Oslo by the governments of Norway and Romania during President Traian Basescu’s official visit to Oslo.

The memorandum was signed within Basescu’s meeting with the Norwegian Prime Minister on Wednesday.

Basescu stressed that Romania would spend the money to solve problems in the field of health, increase the industrial output sustainability in the field of information technology and ship construction, render more efficient the operations in the energy sector, reduce polluting gas emissions, and not to mention child protection, which is among top priorities as well.

As far as the field of health is concerned, the sums will be assigned to upgrade newborn incubators, stressed Basescu. "I shall propose the Covasna County Hospital myself," said Basescu adding that Norway’s economy generates high tech for all these projects to be implemented.

Basescu pointed out that the Norwegian government will provide Romania with consultancy on these projects via state-owned company Innovation Norway.
